The World is my Oyster
After my 1.5 day trip with three flights I finally arrived in Bangkok. From the airport I shared a cap with three Belgian girls I met, because they live in the same area of Bangkok (around Khaosan Road). The cap took over one hour, because the traffic was so fucking jammed. From the place where the girls stayed I took my first tuktuk ride to my own place.

I took a quick, but really necessary shower and then headed out to khaosan road. Khaosan Road has it all, bars with loud music, streetfood, laughing gas, hookers / ladyboys (exact ratio unknown), pingpong shows, you name it.
I got my first streetfood pad Thai with two springrolls, which was really delicious, and a big chang beer (0.62l). At around 1:00AM there was a police patrol through the road and all the bars turned their music down or off, which was kind of disappointing. Later I met the Belgian girls again and we went so some bars for drinks.
DISCLAIMER: I SWEAR I WASN’T AS DRUNK AS I LOOK.

That barhopping went on until about 5AM. I was still determined to get up at 8/9AM, but that didn’t work out so well. I slept till fucking 2PM! FUCK! Slept through half the day.
After coming to piece with the fact, that I wasted half the day, I walked towards the grand palace. I visited a temple directly in front of the grand palace, which had some kind of event, where people gift flowers and oil (I think?) to the Buddha statues. Then I went to the grand palace, which actually just closed in that second… BUT guess what, I met the Belgian girls there again. We went for a boat trip, which was supposed to visit the floating marked, but it was some kind of fake floating market, not the real one. While that sucked a little, the boat ride was still nice. Afterwards we visited another temple, but AGAIN just got there the moment they were closing.
Now I did some rounds in the pool and took a shower. I’m going to meet the girls again tonight at khaosan and we’ll probably go watch a pingpong show. They insist we have to. I’m a bit scared.
